The organizers of the 2011 Jeux de la Francophonie Canadienne (Canadian Francophone Games) were intent on providing attendees with a truly epic structure to house their opening/closing ceremonies and concert entertainment throughout the multi-day event.
Following a competitive procurement process, Affair Tent & Event Rentals was awarded the contract to provide a 40m (131') x 90m (295') Clear Span Structure Tent for the event, in addition to numerous smaller tents. To our knowledge, the main structure remains the largest tent ever installed in Northern Ontario (38,645 sq. feet).
The gigantic structure was erected over the course of several days, adjacent to the University stadium. Event organizers were very appreciative of the finished product and attendees were introduced to a truly world class temporary structure.
We travel regularly to Ontario's North to provide tent & event rental related support for a range of events and look forward to applying our expertise in future projects from Sudbury to Thunder Bay and beyond.
